3 Ply Mahogany shells with re rings

Rare Mardi Gras Pearl finish.

Bass Drum- 

• 18″ x 14″
• Rail Mount – Key wrench included
• Black wood hoops with matching inlay
• Retracting spurs (spur hole overlaps the bracket slightly on each leg)
• Felt Tone coated Batter
• Smooth white reso head with Leedy logo
• Mahogany shell with ply re rings
• Wrap is slightly different than the toms
• Wrap is tacky to the shell all over, and has some lifting between the top later and pattern

Toms-

• 12″  x 8″
• 14″ x 14″ floor tom
• Stick saver hoops
• Internal tone controls
• Aquarian modern vintage Medium batter & thin reso (used)
• 3 ply mahogany with solid re rings
• Floor tom dates to Jan 63, Tom to Feb 63 – both stamped

A slightly interesting kit. The tom and floor tom are certainly of the same era/build. Both stamped 1963.
The bass drum looks to be of slightly different construction. Its still 3 ply mahogany, but with ply re rings. The wrap is also slightly different with more varied colours in the detail. The bass drum wrap has also lifted slightly and become tacky. This would likely indicate that the bass drum is slightly later (65/66ish) and possibly even a special order at the time.
