Tickets for the upcoming Masterclass ‘The Genius of John Bonham’ presented by Matt Green from Palace Drum Clinics.

This will be taking part in the studio at the back of Drumattic (Unit 7, BA11 3DT) on Saturday, October 26th.

The masterclass will start at 4pm, feel free to arrive from 3.30 to mingle, meet others and have a quick browse of the shop.

It will be around 2 hours long, possibly with a short break in the middle if needed.

As usual, tickets are limited and first come first serve.

If you can bring a stool, that would be ideal.

This will be a great afternoon of education and socialising for Bonham lovers.

Led Zeppelin’s iconic music has been popular for over 50 years and has been used for many TV shows an Hollywood films, including the Marvel franchise. John Bonham, the legendary drummer for Led Zeppelin, is still one of the most influential rock drummers of all time, more than 43 years after his untimely passing. Creative Director of the Palace Drum Clinic, Matt Green, will demonstrate why ‘Bonzo’ remains so influential to drummers of all genres and abilities. In these events, Matt will showcase what he believes to be the major drum grooves that have cemented John Bonham’s legendary status. A lot of drummers struggle to
play Bonzo’s songs, so these are broken down to help you understand the grooves, whichever playing level you’re at. With first hand knowledge as a young man starting out, Matt talks about what influenced John from his friendships and taste in music, to untold stories which in turn
blossomed into the true musicianship of Bonzo.

Within this masterclass there will be demonstrations, discussion and an interactive section where Matt will help drummers to play some of the iconic grooves of John
Bonham. Getting people involved is the best way to guide players to achieve their goals. Matt will also showcase different exercises and learning techniques for any player
to take into their own practice. Learning the fundamental elements of Bonzo’s playing will help any drummer at any level to understand and eventually play the thunderous grooves that make Bonham the influence he still is today.
